Alumni Testimonials

"This team helped me achieve a new height that would ultimately define me today. I joined the United States Air Force as an Aerospace Maintenance Technician. It put me on the path of deciding what direction I want my life to follow. After much debate and time, I attend DeVry University for Global Supply Chain. I also plan on attaining my Airframe & Power Plant license. I have the team and the mentors that helped me along the way to thank for my success in facing the challenges of life. Although I made the decisions that got me where I am today, it was them who shared their journeys with me, to help me on my own journey." |

"FIRST Robotics Team 314, Megatron Oracles, based out of Carman-Ainsworth High School in Flint, MI, influenced my decision to become a mechanical engineer. Through this organization, I learned several skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, critical thinking, technical skills, and use of machines. Because of Big Mo, I aspired to further my development as a Mechanical Engineer through Kettering University. Having a FIRST background furthered my networking capabilities, and allowed me to make lifelong friends. When I was on Team 314, robotics changed my life. Initially, I aspired to be a musician, but, this team made me aware of the importance of technical work and how it makes a significant impact on the world. As a veteran of Team 314, I am proud to see the team develop as a whole, and hope each student continues to learn new skills." |
